ROOM DESCRIPTION
This offers basic accommodation for 25 guests in a double storey building with 7 bunk rooms. It is suited to Hiking and School groups with a tight budget. A fully equipped kitchen has two stoves, fridge, stove kettle, sink, pots, pans, cutlery, crockery. There is a small dining area and sitting room with fireplace. BATHROOMS On the ground floor the first bathroom has two showers, one toilet and one hand basin, whilst the second bathroom has one shower, one toilet ,and a hand basin. Upstairs you will find two toilets and two more hand basins. There are also two more showers attached to the building accessible from outside the back door. Please note that guests need to bring their own bath towels and toiletries. All bedding is provided. And of course there is a braai / barbeque area out front in the garden. GROUND FLOOR Bedroom 1 - 4 bunk beds -sleeps 4. Bedroom 2 - adjoins bedroom 1 and has 4 bunk beds - sleeps 4. Bathroom one is en suite for these two adjoining rooms. UPSTAIRS Bedroom 3 (mountain view) - 2 bunk beds and 2 single beds - sleeps 4. Bedroom 4 (mountain view) - 2 bunk beds and 1single bed - sleeps 3. Bedroom 5 (mountain view) - 3 single beds - sleeps 3 Bedroom 6 (mountain view)- 3 single beds - sleeps 3. Bedroom 7 (mountain view)- 2 bunk beds and 2 single beds - sleeps 4. The building faces the Sani Pass road and is next to the on-site restaurant - offering breakfast, lunch, a 3-course dinner, a bar, and free WIFI.

Bunk Bed
Single bed in a shared room. Each room sleeps four people on two bunk beds.
Lodge Swimming Pool Access
Sun loungers at the pool enable you to enjoy stunning views of the surrounding mountains that will take your breath away.
Hiking
Hiking trails (including the famous Giant's Cup Trail) into the bordering Drakensberg Park World Heritage Site begin on the property. We supply maps, entry permits and route descriptions.

Free parking in the group facility car park nearby.

SEASONS IN THE DRAKENSBERG
WINTER
Winter (June to Aug) is the dry season with blue skies during the day and clear, cold nights. Snowfalls on the high peaks are likely.
Spring (Sep to Nov) is variable, ranging from hot to cold, rainy to clear, still to windy.
Summer (Dec to Feb) is the rainy season with hot, sunny mornings and thunderstorms in the afternoons.
Autumn (Mar to May) is variable, ranging from hot to cold, rainy to clear.
BOOKING GUIDE
ARRIVAL GUIDE
Please book the following in advance with Reception when you make your reservation at Sani Lodge:
* Dinner on the day of your arrival. Our restaurant serves a 3-course dinner at 18:30.
* Breakfast which is available from 07:30 to 10 am.
* Tours up Sani Pass into Lesotho and guided hikes to rock art and Hodgson’s Peaks in Lesotho are on offer with our tour company. Passports are necessary for the Lesotho tour.
* If you are doing the Giant’s Cup Trail Hike, we offer personalised mugs with your name, the text ‘I did the Giant’s Cup Trail’, and a sketch of the mountains. The mugs are made on-site by our Ceramicist, Simone.
* Please call us on 0839873071 to advise your expected time of arrival.
* Check in to reception to fetch your keys from 2 pm to 7 pm. If you are arriving after 7 pm, we shall leave a map on the reception for you to find your unit. It will be left open with the key in the door.
* Free WIFI is available at the restaurant and bar during opening hours only. There is no WIFI in the unit.
* There is no TV in the unit. The Conference Venue shows live DSTV Supersport matches from time to time.
* The property has solar panels to generate electricity whilst the sun is shining and basic battery storage.
