Francolin Rondavel

ROOM DESCRIPTION

The thatch rondavel is a traditional African dwelling, taking is name from its round shape. You may be lucky enough to hear the chirruping of the Francolin birds after which this rondavel has been named. There is a double bed, with a feather duvet and bath towels provided, and an oil heater is available for the cold winter months. Swimming towels are available from the Lodge reception. A tray with a kettle, tea and filter coffee makes you feel at home right away. We provide creamy farm milk from our own herd of Jersey cows. The unit is serviced daily at no extra charge. The central shared guest kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, oven, microwave, fridge, kettle, pots, crockery, and cutlery. The shared guest lounge is well suited to the Drakensberg winters with a wood-burning fireplace in the open plan lounge / dining room area. There is a central guest braai boma area. Solar panels on the property ensure an uninterrupted power supply. The on-site restaurant offers breakfast, lunch and a 3-course dinner.
